I am happy to see you here. That means you are interested to know who is behind the Nature to Body website.
Nature to Body is a family owned business run by a mom-to-stay-home that believes in a holistic lifestyle where human-beings can coexist with other animals and plants without destroying mother-nature.

My name is Djana Venolia. I am originally from Brazil, Belem-Para to be more specific. Belem is a metropolis located at the mouth of the Amazon River. I moved to the US in 2006. Not too long after, I started having digestive issues. It took 4 years to find out that I have Celiac Disease. Back then there was not a lot of options for gluten free food. So I started searching for manufactures that fulfilled my standards. A couple of years later I decided to eat Non-GMO only. All these personal decisions reflects in my business. If I don't want something for me I don't offer to my customers.
Another personal health issue forced me to change my lifestyle and again, you can see this change (for the better) reflected in my business.
In 2011-12, I decided to dedicate 100% of my time to my online business after having a back surgery. My herniated disk and sciatic pain prevented to keep my architecture practice. Before my surgery, in a desperate desire to not need surgery, I tried all sort of conventional therapies: water aerobics, physical therapy and exercising. Since I am not fond of gyms I looked for an activity that kept me engaged, that is when I found Zumba. I decided to get an license to teach Zumba, Zumba Gold and later on Aqua Zumba to be able to create choreographs that wold allow me to have a low-impact routine. Now a days I have a few Zumba Gold and Aqua Zumba classes where I can inspire people to exercise through a fun and easy to follow moves. I love the fact we can add dance movements from all over the world and celebrate diversity.
Before I had another website called That website was a way to show my indignation to human waste and to present ways to be more ecological and sustainable. I started creating sculptures and art pieces using found materials like junk mail and plastic bags. I still have my first tapestry using a 20" loom and groceries bags together with threads. It is not pretty since I didn't know how to use the loom neither the material density helped with tension, but I keep to remind me why I started this whole thing. My Recycled Art, Casa de Arte (a non-profit program) and supporting communities in the Amazon Rain Forest that uses sub-products of the forests, living sustainable and keeping the forest as it is where the three main pillars for Amazon Recycled.
